Heliopolis, Egypt — On Saturday, April 11, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Heliopolis held a special Easter program that gathered dozens of attendees for a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and fellowship centered on the message of Easter and its spiritual significance.
The program was dedicated to celebrating and reflecting on the meaning of Easter within the Christian faith: the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His death on the cross, and the hope of salvation and new life that this event represents. Throughout the day, participants were invited to reflect on themes of grace, redemption, and hope, which formed the foundation of the celebration.
The event included moments of prayer, praise sessions in both Arabic and English, special musical presentations, and a central sermon delivered by Pastor Sun Hwan Kim, President of the field. A special highlight of the program was the presence of distinguished Egyptian officials, whose attendance was warmly received. Among them were General Shreif Halal from the President’s Office, General Mohamad Safan from the Ministry of Interior Office, Dr. Dina Mosa from the Middle East newspaper and Al Azhar Family House, and Mr. Mahmod Hasan, Executive Secretary to His Honorable El Sheikh Ahmad El Taib, Head of Al Azhar Al Sharif and the Family House.
