  • Egypt Invests Its First National Pathfinder Master Guide

The IV Egypt National Camporee, held from June 24 to 27, 2026, at Nile Union Academy (NUA) under the theme Crossing the Waters, marked a historic milestone for the Pathfinder Ministry in Egypt. During the investiture ceremony, Remon Sabry Beshay became the first Egyptian to be invested as a Pathfinder Master Guide, representing a significant step forward in developing local leadership and strengthening the ministry among young people across the country.

In addition to Remon, several other participants were also invested during the ceremony, reaffirming the commitment to preparing new leaders to serve Pathfinder clubs throughout Egypt.

A milestone for the Pathfinder Ministry

Egypt currently has five Pathfinder clubs. Remon is a member of the Nile Pioneers Pathfinder Club, based at Nile Union Academy (NUA), where he began his Pathfinder journey. His investiture is not only a personal achievement but also an important milestone in the development of the Pathfinder Ministry in Egypt, reflecting the maturity of the clubs and paving the way for more Egyptian young people to pursue the same path of leadership.

“The things that inspired me are the activities that were shared, the life of the pathfinders I saw, the messages that I used to hear, and the love that I saw from the leaders. [My colleagues] inspired me physically, emotionally, and, mostly, spiritually", comments Remon.

The IV Egypt National Camporee brought together Pathfinders, leaders, and volunteers from across Egypt for four days of worship, training, challenges, fellowship, and outdoor activities at Nile Union Academy. The event was organized by the South Brazilian Union, whose team of volunteers traveled to Egypt to coordinate the entire program in partnership with the Egypt Field.

Building leaders for the future

According to Pastor Marcos Lima, who led the Pathfinder Ministry in Egypt for several years and personally mentored Remon throughout his Pathfinder journey, the investiture represents the fulfillment of years of dedicated work in developing local leadership.

Marcos confirms that this accomplishment brings joy and a sense of purpose to his ministry as a pastor in Egypt. “To see a Pathfinder that started with me and my wife 12 years ago becoming finally the first Egyptian Master Guide is amazing. It gives us a feeling that the journey has been worth it. It gives us the sense that the Pathfinder ministry has a purpose in Egypt, has a purpose to be fulfilled", describes.

Pastor Aislan Bonetti, Egypt Field Pathfinder and Adventurer Ministries Director, emphasized that this achievement reflects the continued growth of the ministry and strengthens its mission of preparing local leaders for the future.

“Over the next few years, I see more clubs being established, more young people becoming involved, and a growing number of trained Master Guides and local leaders serving throughout the country", explains Bonetti.

This moment represents a new chapter for the Pathfinder Ministry in Egypt. By investing its first Egyptian Pathfinder Master Guide, the Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrates the growth of a new generation prepared to lead, mentor young people, and continue expanding the ministry's impact throughout the country.
