Over 120 Adventist youth gathered in the outskirts of Cairo for a special weekend of worship, training and fellowship, from 19-21 of September, 2024. Organized by the Youth Department of the Egypt-Sudan Field, the congress offered opportunities for fellowship, worship, Bible study, and much more.
Led by Pastor Girgis Malak and a team of volunteers, the event featured pastor Wadgy Nassif as guest speaker and invited the young people to refocus on Jesus, under the theme "The Sun Will Rise" (1 Sam. 11:9). Pastor Nassif taught on how to discover spiritual gifts, prepare a sermon, and also how to value personal testimony as the most important “light” the believer has to share.
The Adventist youth also got to hear encouraging words from the Youth Director of the Adventist Church for the MENA region, pastor Byard Parks.
Besides the worships and lectures, the youth from all over Egypt enjoyed sport courts and pool, connecting with old friends and making new ones. Certainly a weekend to remember, and to repeat.
